The journey of The Single-Handed Sailor isn’t powered by wind, solar, or the epic changing currents of King Neptune, it is powered by you. I am eternally grateful for the generous every day people who have contributed to my journey, and ultimately, to my safety. Thank you. You know who you are and my gratitude extends deeply to you. My next journey is going to be a YUUUUUGE one (sorry I couldn’t resist). I’ll be sailing some lesser known parts of the Indian Ocean for ten months starting in January 2018. Travel like this requires a lot of preparation and building myself up mentally to be able to travel solo in conditions that many would consider unthinkable.
I am not beholden to the pressure of advertisers but I also don’t have the security of a regular income like a day job. I don’t even have generous sponsorship to make setbacks more bearable although I am beginning to actively seek out Sponsors who share the same values as me. Everything I do is based on my faith that the best outcome will occur and everything as it needs to be will find its own place. So far, it’s been working out. However, it is nicer to be comfortable and to remove the anxiety that comes when maintenance costs start rolling in.
All of your donations go towards the cost of keeping my sailboat seaworthy and sometimes keeping myself fed and dry. I’ll do my best to keep you updated with my adventures and fun content. I appreciate your support in keeping my adventures free and available to everyone.
Your adventure guru 😉
